Squats on squats, abs on abs. Started Monday with a killer leg and ab day. Squats seen are 4x10x155lbs and paused squats 4x8x135 (while in a circuit with leg extensions and leg curls). Ended with a variety of hanging abs, above is some scissors. When #juicing, the machine extracts the juice (this is the water and most of the nutrients the produce contains), leaving behind the pulp. When blending, there is no left-over pulp. So here I am. Committing to show a little more of myself for personal growth. I chose this particular picture because it was the one that I usually wouldn't post.  Here's the "real" picture of me preparing for the "cute shot", feeling uncomfortable & looking down at my stretch marks, . They're tough to see on camera and I've always liked that fact. But it's different when you're in public. There are no filters & no perfect angles to hide behind. But I did it! I allowed myself to step outside of my comfort zone and accept who I am. It's definitely an empowering experience no matter how small and silly it may seem. People may think, "Girl please. You look good". But everyone has there own "thing" that they're not comfortable with and this happens to be mine. But I am evolving and this is only the beginning.

I was looking through some photos this morning and came across the pic on the LEFT - when I first started competing (8 or so years ago) -  I was lifting weights, but KILLING myself on cardio - literally.  I was following the guidance of a coach who piled on the cardio as I ate less and less carbs AND fats.  This is the recipe for disaster friends - metabolically and hormonally.  It took a long time to truly recover, and I still deal with some ramifications from it.  I was 117 lbs in this picture.  ____________________________________  The picture on the right - was just this past November at the @wnbfofficial World's Championship.  I am lifting heavy and intensely, EATING balanced, NOT killing myself and living a much healthier lifestyle.  Oh, and BTW - 117 lbs here too.  ____________________________________  This post is not about the weight, but merely to show the difference in body composition at the same weight, and even DEEPER than that an UNHEALTHY me vs. a HEALTHY me. This could mean quite a few things.  However, the two that resound in my mind most are the following: - eliminate things in your environment that may hold you back from achieving your goals or keeping those resolutions.  As an example - if your goal is to make better eating choices, CHOOSE not to keep that pound cake or those cookies in the house.  Eliminate your biggest temptations from your environment. - elimination might also mean, eliminating those around you speaking negative thoughts about your goals and expecting you to fail. Week one challenge for #250kchallenge @bodybuildingcom @optimumnutrition 12 week transformation  What is your plan for success? My biggest help is meal prep and planning my meals for the day. Every night I cook dinner I make enough extra food for a couple of meals for the next day. I am unable to spend hours on one day meal prepping due to have two small children. It works best for me so I'll keep on keeping on with it. I also plan out my workout split for the week every Monday so I ensure I hit all my muscles twice for the week. I also have a goal of drinking one gallon of water daily too. Today, I am bringing you the 4th tip to help you make sure you are staying on track!  _____________________________________  Tip #4:  Don't beat yourself up, if you make one bad choice or decision.  You are human!  The worst thing you can do is get so upset with yourself that you continue to justify making poor decisions.  One poor choice does not warrant many, and don't feel like you have to throw everything away because of that ONE choice.  You still have the rest of the day AND tomorrow is a brand new day!
