I usually eat clean through the week (except weekends) but for the next 5 weeks I'm going to attempt to slowly transition towards intuitive eating.  While my husband is away, thoroughly enjoying the scrumptious, gigantic meals Texas has to offer him, I've decided to proactively prep my meals during this time.  I've incorporated a lot of veggies and protein in my meals, mostly chicken, tofu and fish; avoiding red meats, I don't eat big animals - like Orwell said "four legs good, two legs bad." But on the weekends I'm a free bird.  The food here isn't exactly measured so I cannot give you the exact macros but I've used similar sized containers. I'm not really aiming for a specific calorie count per day but I shall share the macros for each meal in a future post. ................................................................ Here's what I'm eating for the next four days. 🍽Breakfast:  2 egg omelette/ poached: boiled with some fruit and a mug of coffee (made fresh therefore picture not included) 🍽 Post workout: fruit and protein shake (ON gold standard vanilla) 🍽 Lunch: Roast chicken breast salad with 🥒, 🍍, 🌽, 🍅, dried cranberry, 🌶, chia and flax seeds with fat free honey mustard dressing ( on the side) 🍽Snack: @epigamiayogurt  a 🍌 some prunes and my own home made trail mix of almonds, pistachios and dried cranberries 🍽 Dinner:Roasted chicken Teriyaki with boiled veggies 🍽 Dessert: Two cubes of Amul 75% dark chocolate ( If I'm out of my stock of 86% Noir Brit Côte D'Or 😍😍) 🍫 I love this chocolate the best ₹100 bucks you will ever spend on dessert!  Through the day I drink about 2-3 litres of water a day which I sometimes alternate with freshly made juices either watermelon, sweet lime or spinach. I'm using my extra calories this week to increase my weights in the gym. I don't chase pb's for strength work, because I get my kicks from working in the hypertrophy rep range to increase muscle mass. You still need to do low reps & push yourself though, this week I seem to be in the mindset for heavy sets so I'm rolling with it. I got strapped up so I could hold the weight. (Yes I know I'm not meant to look in the mirror as I break the neutral alignment in my spine but I did from habit). Potatoes with garden greens + tomato + peas + mustard & lemon juice dressing and an Asian inspired slaw with cabbage + carrot + some of that star squash!! + mango + spring onion + coriander + tahini & sweet chilli & soy sauce & lime dressing. And a side of corn! Sooo yummy! A small clip of exercise from my Men’s Strength Group Training. They are always giving their best every session and always motivated to try new things. A great session done with them on Monday morning, where we tried something different. We targeted the muscle group: Legs and Core 💥Try out this session💥  1. Banded Glute Bridges - 3x15  2. Lying Down Banded Adductor Raise - 3x12ES (Continuous)  3. Banded Goblet Squats (Tempo - 31110) - 3x15 superset with Banded Fast Squat + Calf Raise - 3x15  4. Leg Curls - 3x15, Romanian Deadlifts (RDL) - 3x12, Antirotation Holds - Has to hold it till their group members have finished their set  5. Plank Arm In and Out - 3x16  6. Russian Twist - 3x16  7. Fast Feet - 30seconds x2 superset with 10 Pushups ⭐️ Give it all you got in the things which you do and positive results will happen @trifusionfitness

AGAIN 😜 So I guess now it's "We're going to pretend it's Tuesday" Wednesday 😂 If that makes sense? 🙊...Anyway...today is a rest day and although I've only been eating in a surplus for the last few days, I feel a lot stronger ever since my first day of lifting weights this year! I STRONGLY (💪🏼 get it? 🙊🤓) suggest that if you're a woman who has only ever done cardio cardio cardio....TRY WEIGHTS! Girls always tell me "I just want to tone up". But they don't realise cardio alone and losing lots of weight won't always do that. I've pretty much ditched cardio for my bulking phase (because too much cardio breaks down muscle). So I'm doing intense cardio for only about 25mins each week and strength training 3X a week. I know a lot of women who are following me think I'm going to end up looking like a scary body builder...💪🏼😈...🙊😉 but I can't wait to show you girls what lifting really does for us women! 😄 That "toned" look that we all want...where our butts are perky, our cellulite is gone, our arms are defined...that's all achieved through those scary weights! 😉 I always found that cardio alone left me looking thin and flabby. AND if I haven't already convinced you...once you have lost all that weight and you're pretty slim, if you do decide to bulk...you get to eat LOADS more food AND you exercise less (4-5 times a week) compared to when you're losing weight. I'm loving this stage...I'm eating lots, feeling fuelled all the time and still doing good things for my body all at once! Don't get me wrong, I still have a very healthy diet but after this long it's easy! I find that as long as I'm eating enough and not feeling hungry, eating well is no challenge at all. I hope I've inspired you even just a little bit to give weights a go 😘 Bon voyage for now folks 😊👋🏼

I think this is one of the things people really fret about - progress - insta is full of so many accounts who just show how amazing they are and never show the slow times or the bad times or the times they didn't want to work out or eat well. . We all need to remember that progress takes time and doesn't happen over night like some people try and make out. I've been on this journey for 2 years now - the first year I put on weight instead of looosng any 🙈 my weightloss has been slow but I would rather this then doing it unhealthily to get quick results! .
