Just another gym selfie 💁, but an important one 😊. Today was my LAST marathon gym session before a 12hr shift 🙌🏻... and I feel like I killed it 😏 #sopumped . I DID IT 😄💃🎉. Just 12hrs to go and then off for TWO WEEKS 😆😜. ________ That which challenges you, grows you. You'll be better and stronger because of it 😘.
Last night I had a post comp wrap up/goal setting check in call with coach @aliround . We chatted about my feedback from comp, our thoughts on how to improve and what to work on for this "off season" (which is where all the real work happens) as well as goal setting for the next year. Its so important to have a coach that you click with and who listens and supports your goals and know they will give you honest feedback (and sometimes tell you to slow the hell down haha)... . So this morning I was straight back to work, trying to improve one of my "goal areas" hamstrings and glutes... because bikini girls can never have too much 🍑😂 I have quite dominant glutes and they have never been somewhere I have struggled to grow, but this year we are focusing on shape over size and trying to fill out the upper portion of the glute through targeted exercises. Because my glutes are dominant, if I want to train hamstrings in the same session, I find I need to start the session with a good hamstring activation warm up, focus on just hamstrings to start and then move into glute work, otherwise I just feel my 🍑 the whole session and struggle to activate the hamstrings. Everyone is different, but that is what has worked for me over the last 12 months particularly. Find what works for you and your goals at the time, as your goals change, make sure the plan changes to suit. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity 👊🏻💪🏼🍑

The meal on the right is my post workout meal, which is toast with @waldenfarmsinternational jam spread & toast with tuna and taco bell hot sauce 😋
