WOW went to @searcysatthegherkin to try their Saints and Sinners menu by @clean_eating_alice  I went for the 'Saint' menu and it was guiltlessly delicious!! Starter: - aubergine, feta, tahini and pomegranate  Main Course: - venison with miso glased parsnips, spinach and more pomegranate ๐Ÿ˜‹  Dessert: - absolutely delicious Maple French Toast with blackberry chia jam and frozen Greek yoghurt!  Definitely 'saintly'- felt like I was in heaven! Not to mention being on the 39th floor of the Gherkin!  Such a beautiful day and the views were stunning! Planned out my meals for the week! I am going to be traveling everyday next week so I need to be prepared. When you have GOALS, you need to take the time and plan out how you will achieve them. If you don't, you will fail. It's that simple.  I'm trying something new and actually REPLACING lunch next week with a shake. Getting enough sleep is so important! If you're not getting at least 7 hours of sleep a night, you're greatly increasing your risk for hypertension, weight gain, obesity, heart disease, hormone imbalances, and anxiety. I just did an assignment on the importance of sleep, and I honestly don't think people realize just how important sleep really is for optimal health. Getting enough sleep is just as important as eating healthy foods, and getting regular exercise. Unfortunately, however, the average American just doesn't get enough.  I recently made a rule for myself that I'm not allowed to use electronic devices past 9:00 at night. I made this rule because electronic devices and social media often keep me awake much longer than I should be, as it's incredibly easy to lose track of time. Electronic devices also emit a light that messes with your brains natural hormone cycle, and makes it harder to fall asleep or feel tired when you should. If you're having issues with your health, you might not be getting enough sleep for your body to function properly. I always aim for at least 8 hours each night, but if I'm exercising regularly I often need more than that. Everyone is a little different, but getting enough sleep should definitely be a priority. You could be eating well and exercising regularly, but if you're not getting enough sleep you're not going to feel your best. I know it's impossible to ashtrays get enough, but do your best and make sleep a priority! More Date Snacks! I know I've posted a lot of date snacks but I think it would be unkind if I didn't share this extra simple, whole food recipe with you. They are so yummy and satisfying. Drumroll please.... Mixed Nut and Chia Seed Date Bites! Stop everything right now and make them. Blend together to a paste: โ€ข18-20 medjool dates โ€ข2ish Tbsp water โ€ข 1 tsp Mexican vanilla (if you don't have Mexican, omit). Then blend together โ€ข2/3 cup mixed nuts (preferably raw) until  you have a mix of small chunks and some powder. Add the nuts to the dates and toss in โ€ข2 Tbsp Chia seeds. Mix everything together and roll into balls. Then roll those little pieces of heaven through some hemp seeds or unsweetened shredded coconut. Your kids may stop speaking to you if you ask them to eat the Hemp seed ones but I think it would be acceptable to sit on them and force feed because they taste amazing! They will be asking for seconds (right after they go see visit child protective services). Today I've been a bit naughty and done pretty much bugger all steps and not left my sofa because I've been playing #worldofwarcraft ALL day. It's been a while ๐Ÿ˜‚ usually I snack and eat crap throughout the day and my meals are pretty carbloaded and crap - but my snacking has been pretty much bare minimum for 5 months now, and my meals are all thought out and planned and nutritional. I'm getting used to cooking certain things now, so something like this (I've got the same amount for tomorrow's lunch pre cooked) and this took me 10/12 mins max. Warm bowl of vegetable and lentils soup with homemade bread๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿฅ˜ I really love this lunch! It's so simple, filling and warms you up when it's cold outside๐Ÿค— Once you've chopped all the veggies you just have to wait until their done๐Ÿ™ And you can easily prepare larger portions for the whole family or the next days๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿฅ˜ My family and my fiancรฉ love this recipe and hope you'll love it too๐Ÿ˜Š If you want to know my bread recipe let me know! Wish you a wonderful weekendโค  Vegetable & lentils soup (serves 4 people) Ingredients: -200g lentils -2 red onions -4 carrots -200g celery -1 leek -about 1 liter vegetable stock -fresh parsley -pinch of salt & pepper Directions: First wash the lentils and vegetables. Chop the vegetables in small pieces. Then heat a big pot and add the onions and lentils. Cook for about 2-3 minutes. Then add the vegetable stock and the rest of the vegetables. Let it cook for about 45-60 minutes until the lentils and vegetables are done. At the end serve with fresh parsley and bread and enjoy!

Wish you a wonderful weekendโค Vegetable & lentils soup (serves 4 people) Ingredients: -200g lentils -2 red onions -4 carrots -200g celery -1 leek -about 1 liter vegetable stock -fresh parsley -pinch of salt & pepper Directions: First wash the lentils and vegetables. Chop the vegetables in small pieces. Then heat a big pot and add the onions and lentils. Cook for about 2-3 minutes. Then add the vegetable stock and the rest of the vegetables. Let it cook for about 45-60 minutes until the lentils and vegetables are done. At the end serve with fresh parsley and bread and enjoy!

The cheesy part is actually a mixture of organic tofu, basil, pine nuts, olive oil, and garlic.  Fun fact: Tofu has 10g of protein per 6 oz. cube.
