We all experience stress. A little of it is actually good for you, but prolonged stress and poor recovery from bouts of stress can cause all kinds of problems. I dunno about you, but when my kids decide to test my patience and refuse to go to bed for whatever reason, my heart races, I feel the heat rising and my blood eventually boils - I'm a pretty cool cucumber 🥒 most of the time, so this feeling is frightening. How do I recover? Grab some grounding crystals like smokey quartz and a heart opening crystal like rose quartz and either ground myself bare foot outside or find a comfy spot with lots of cushions to cuddle in and do a heart centred meditation focussing on my breathing. Some stress is unavoidable, so focus on recover to make sure you don't get of whack. 🌈❤️⭐️#stress#meditation#recovery#mindfulness#crystals

This weeks goal of decluttering and reorganising my bedroom complete ✔️ . Unfortunately this week has been a little bit crazy for me, from blood tests everyday and multiple doctors appointments we have found that those crazy side effects that were being anticipated had finally occurred! My immune system has been attacking my own body and as a result I have been pulled off treatment and put on steroids to stop any further damage being done- while this sounds like bad news it may in fact be the opposite my body has reacted in the way had hoped and my immune system certainly went into over drive 😂 . Keeping my mind occupied is very important to me so I'm proud of myself for slowly but surely reorganising everything in my room and sending off about 1/3 of my possessions that I had been shamelessly hoarding for years to the op shop 😊 The result is incredible, a colour palette I love, lots of local art work including @lumak.art @alittlebite_syd as well as my favourite books by @meredithgaston 💜 Now all that's left is a few more finishing touches on my refurbished wrought iron chair to match the table I refurbished last year 😀. . . . #goals#bedroom#art#artwork#local#book#books#antiques#refurbished#treatment#recovery#cancer#melanoma#fight#fighter#fighting#melbourne#logo#hospital#inspire#inspired#motivation#motivated#decor#bed#beautiful#smile#happiness#happy

PLEASE READ THIS. I know it is long but it is an attempt to explain why I am the way I am. I'm sick. Again. By sick I mean the inevitable return of declining mental health has resurfaced yet again. Every time I get well again I convince myself that that was the last time my mental health will get that bad and that I am stronger now and can cope with things better. Every time I get well I forget just how strong mental health is. Its not like youre sad but deciding to not go see a friend because you just want to let yourself be sad for a bit. I dont want to be like this. If i had a friend who could make me feel better I would be phoning them up straight away. I would do anything to stop myself from deteriorating again. But I can't. Every time I get sick I never know if this time is going to be the one that kills me. I didnt take my meds this morning because i couldnt see the point. Finally I was convinced to take them by my mum so i took them about 2 minutes ago. I hate this stupid fucking cycle. Every time I'm up, im convinced im never going down... every time im down i'm convinced im never going back up. Im not fully down yet, definitely not, I am still trying to do anything I can to stop myself hitting rock bottom... but I know that at some point it will happen again, whether it is from this low or if i do by some miracle manage to get myself up again, I will still at some point go down again. I would give so much to get out of this stupid cycle. That is actually part of the problem when I get really low. I would literally give my life to stop the cycle. Suicide. That is what it is for me. I would give up my life if it meant i didnt have to go through this stupid fucking cycle over and over again. If it does win this time, I'm sorry and I am really grateful to all the people who stuck around and helped me or even just were decent to me. You made my highs last longer and therefore made my life longer. Don't panic, I'm not going to do anything suicidal imminently, I am just preparing to get worse. #suicidal ?? #bpd#bpdproblems#asd#asdproblems#stressed#suicide#mentalillness#mental#mentalhealth#relapse#recovery#autism#autistic#saveme

Do you get repeated knee pain or hamstring strains? Have you had a previous ALC injury or just need to be a better all-round athlete? Then the RDL is an exercise that you need to be utilising and performing correctly. The RDL (Romanian Deadlift) is an exercise that we see butchered far too often. If performed correctly the RDL is an exercise that utilises the hip hinge movement pattern to target the hamstrings and glutes. Three of the most common mistakes we see, are as follows: - Video 1: We see the hip hinge pattern is not correctly utilised and instead the RDL is turned into a reverse squat, therefore shifting the emphasis from the hamstrings and glutes and onto the quads instead to complete the movement. - Video 2: We see too much focus placed on stretching as deep as possible in an attempt to have the weights touch the ground. In certain situations a larger stretch can be beneficial, however as demonstrated in the video we see this increased stretch placed above all other factors, leading to rounding of the back and craning of the neck upwards, placing unnecessary stress on the cervical spine. - Video 3: The knees remain locked through the entire movement which places excessive stress through the knee joint as well as the ligaments and tendons attached. - Video 4: In this final video we see correct execution of the RDL. The knees are soft so as to place the load onto the hamstrings and glutes rather than the joint. Furthermore the chin is tucked keeping the spine in correct alignment. The bar is traveling close to the body and stopping just past the knee, this allows an appropriate stretch of the hamstrings without causing any breakdown of form. - As you can see the final example is being performed in a safe manner as well as being the most powerful. - For any further questions or to book a session with one of our coaches contact us via DM or email at firstname.lastname@example.org - #smallgymbigresults#1mrpersonaltraining - @murchpt_performance_coaching @nicole.lucas @nxtgennutrition

*Advanced* In strength training, rowing is an exercise where the purpose is to strengthen the muscles that draw the rower's arms toward the body (latissimus dorsi) as well as those that retract the scapulae (trapezius and rhomboids) and those that support the spine (erector spinae). In all cases, the abdominal and lower back muscles must be used in order to support the body and prevent back injury. Many other weight-assisted gym exercises mimic the movement of rowing, such as the deadlift, high pull and the bent-over row. An effective off-season training programme combines both erg pieces and weight-assisted movements similar to rowing, with an emphasis on improving endurance under high tension rather than maximum strength.
#recovery#ana#anorexiarecovery#anorexia#anoressiaitalia#anoressia#food
I do love matcha and I do love ice cream but this bitterness was unexpected when I wanted some dessert. This matcha Bella ($7.80) is creamy thick soft serve that's matcha bitter. They recommend the puffle (+ $3) if you're sharing. The nana slice 🍌 with torched granules of brown sugar and the almond choc sticks were a brief relief. From middle down is where it got weird with a layer of pasty azuki. Peanut hazelnut spread does not fuse well with this one. It's better with the vanilla soft serve, which though a tad sweeter, was very bland. As you hit the bottom, the sweetness of bits of mushy caramelized nanas mutes some of the bitter. Maybe it's just not my thing 🤷🏻♀️ The group of us went to Andiamo at Orchard Gateway for a scoop of pistachio gelato which was 😋 milky and flavourful.
Breakfast today was a cinnamon and raisin bagel with butter🍇 with literally about 3 raisins😒 and a nana🍌 plus a glass of oj🍊 and a caramel fortisip🤗 these used to be a fear but then as soon as I came home I kept eating them to face my fears and you know what they actually aren't as bad as I thought!! Face yo fears guys😚
