Listening to your hunger sounds like it should be simple- after all, we do it instinctively from the day we are born. But when you've eroded your instincts from years of disordered eating and ignoring the cues, it's difficult to gauge how much, when, and what to eat to satisfy yourself. Yesterday I was a bottomless pit- today I'm constipated, bloated, and have zero motivation to eat. So do I listen to those nonexistent hunger cues and not nourish myself? Obviously not- and it's so stupid how ED can manipulate you. "If you are hungry, it doesn't matter- you can't eat above your minimum" is the thought when I have days like yesterday. "Listen to your body- it doesn't want food, you're not hungry at all!" was the thought all throughout today. I still ate what I needed to. Having no hunger and still eating sucks, but the only way to get consistent cues back is to eat no matter what I feel like, physically or emotionally. For now, its mind over matter, but one day I hope that my body will be reliable- and my mind will be receptive- in telling me what it needs and when it needs it. Hope everyone has a great night 💕
Tuesday Tone Day, targeting that booty 🍑 You don't need go spend hours in the gym to get a good toning session in, if 10-15 minutes is all you have today, then do it!! I know so many of you are busy mama's and dads, or swamped trying juggle a career, social life and love life. Let's take the stress OUT of working out by sneaking in little sessions here and there while we can! Try 15 moves on each leg and repeat for 3 rounds (or 5 if you have the time!). Make sure to pull your belly button into your spine to engage your core and protect your lower back. And my favorite point to make in all my classes, SQUEEZE your glutes at the top of each move to really tone that booty!! Enjoy friends, sending you all the happy vibes today ❤❤

Enjoyed a quick family walk this evening, because we all needed some fresh air and stimulation! • I've hit a SUPER tired spell the last few days. The lack of a good night's sleep is really effecting me because I'm used to getting LOTS of sleep before baby. • Getting my body moving and eating healthy foods should help me from getting sick or angry or frustrated too much. So that's what I'll do!

Day 16! Cardio and abs today. This cardio workout is fairly short - only 15 minutes, but it's a good one! Followed it up with a 10 minute ab workout on the workout bench. Plato joined me for a bit on the bench, but I wasn't recording at the time 😔 Maybe tomorrow!

Made myself a delicious vanilla latté @perfectfit shake afterwards and it was 👌 I used 1 scoop of vanilla perfect fit powder, 1/2 frozen banana, sprinkle of cinnamon, 4 ice cubes, 1c of unsweetened almond milk, and 1/2tsp of vanilla extract to bump up the vanilla flavor 🙌 topped it with some unsweetened cacao nibs for the perfect touch! When I started this total body Extreme program last week I was afraid of not being strong enough to get through the program so mentally I set some limits on what I could do. . Cauliflower fried rice 💚 The tastiest way to eat all veggies without even realizing it 🙌🏼 Also, can we talk about this rose? I was cutting up the bok choy and this is what the stem looked like at the end. Who knew!? Anyway, it was too pretty to not put on the plate 🌹 * MAKE IT: All you have to do is blend cauliflower until it's rice like and cook it with any and all veggies! Sometimes your goals aren't as important as seeing your forever friend. Glad I wasn't worried about what I was going to eat to hit my macros but instead what sounded good and allow myself to enjoy spending time with my oldest friend. Literally I've known Kathryn since preschool and we have done every huge milestone together and I couldn't imagine life without her 😍 Sometimes life happens and that's okay. Tomorrow is a new day with a new set of goals and I'll be successful with those ones!

I'll try to keep this halfway short, but sorry in advance if it's not ;) I promised transformation pictures, so here they are. This is 3 WEEKS of Catalyst, not to mention the many inches I have lost! Did I mentioned I LOVE this product?!? (Pics with hair up ate before, hair down is after) For those of you that don't know, this past year and a half have been busy! I went from a very active job and working out every morning to a half time teaching job along with part time computer work. Since I get up at 5 just to get ready and get to school, my morning works quickly faded, and because I was exhausted by the time I was done with the day, they didn't happen in the afternoon either. After my September wedding, it got even worse because I no longer had the "I have to look good for the big day" mindset. I let myself go :/ A few months passed before I truly convinced myself I NEEDED a change! I decided to try Spark and instantly fell in love with the steady, all day energy I got from it. There was no crash like pop or most energy drinks, my heart didn't start pounding when I drank it, it was delicious, I could easily push through a workout after a long day, and I was still able to sleep at night! Throwback to yesterday's London trip. I had a great time and me and my bestie probably annoyed the staff in a tea shop as we stood there trying all the free samples of herbal teas and flavoured espresso shots. I also started reading an apple a day which is really good and I can really relate from her guilt that she's hurting her family with her illness but just can't recover and how traveling presents a difficult task of eating when you have a disorder. I was up since 5:30 am yesterday so that's why I haven't been active (@alex__tylerr_ please don't think that I was ignoring you x). Today I did my GCSE speech on anorexia, it was only in front of my teacher but it went well as my teacher was in tears saying that it was too good for the exam and I should save it to say the speech to others one day. I also had a English mock and a science practical exam so I'm exhausted 😴.. . . . . . TW- I had a relapse today 😔 I feel so vile and fat that I threw away my food in school restricting a tonne today where ever possible. I feel like such a fat pig it's horrid. I had a good session with kel where she told me that recovery isn't linear and tomorrow will be better. ⭐️I remember the girl on the left like it was yesterday. I remember on this particular day I had practically starved my body all day because I knew I was going out that night. And I remember feeling 'mad at myself' after this photo because I thought my stomach had a 'pooch' and my arms were too 'thick'. And I remember crying and saying "Nicole you will ever be thin enough. You will never be accepted." Yes I said these hateful thoughts to MY body. ⭐️But instead of wishing I could go back in time and 'help' this girl, I am damn determined to prove recovery IS possible. That you CAN find your healthy. That even if YOU are this girl on the left, you are NEVER alone. ⭐️I promise you I fought like hell to get to the girl on the right. But it was worth every step. I have come from a place of deep restriction, to currently being one week FREE of counting calories. I have come to a point in my recovery where I smile in photos. Where I embrace the extra 'skin' on my belly. To laughing and eating when I am hungry. To reaching out to you my love, and telling 'you' that you WILL recover too. #healthyismybody

Two years ago today I made a commitment to be better. I embarked on what @jasonlipoffdmd calls the "mind,body,spirit movement". I realized that in order to elevate myself and carve out the life I had always dreamed of I needed to make some serious life changes. I didn't use shakes, body wraps, or team challenges, but instead focused on going back to the basics of clean eating and HIIT workouts mixed with weight training. I adopted the mentality that food is for fuel and not always for fun AND if you're gonna squat, squat heavy. I made mini challenges for myself and daily, weekly, and monthly goals to help me stay motivated. But just like everyone else, I am human and with that comes my weakness for carbs, one might even say I can be a carb whore at times. However, I didn't deprive myself of those simple pleasures, instead I ate them in moderation. In my continuous journey to self-improvement I've learned a lot through trial and error. However, one of my most important take aways, that I want to share with you all, is to make sure that YOU ARE becoming FIT and HEALTHY for YOURSELF and NO ONE else. I have gained and lost and lost and gained many times in my adult life. The weight loss didn't stick because I was always trying to please someone other than myself. So in this long winded post, I would hope that someone would take away that in order to evolve into greatness you must be willing to ignore the sometimes cynical murmurings of society and focus on your own desire to be better than you were the day before; Transform your body, but don't forget your mind and spirit; Commit to being your number one priority, cheerleader and fan. In other words, " Be your own trap queen/king.
