Strength is NOT the main factor!! I've learned that lack of mobility, lack of technique and lack of stability will prevent you from squatting deep and squatting right.  Going back to the basics- I've been training to maintain proper form and proper technique the past year and putting the "go heavy or go home" aside. When squatting 185 lbs with knees caving, chest collapsing, barely hitting parallel was not an accomplishment two years ago. By just using the bar has made me get a proper range of motion. Needless to say my mobility has improved tremendously!! I've never been so comfortable squatting before.🏋🏼‍♀️ cast to crow in the end is just a plus. Yes I finally did it!! Sooo I decided to purchase the new Apple iWatch out of the blue earlier this week! I tell you what though, @kayla_itsines #sweat app is AMAZING on this device, I love it! I can literally do everything from the watch while I'm out, no need to even get the phone out! I did week 3 arms and abs on it yesterday and I don't know what I ever did without it! I've linked it up to iPhones health app, my fitness pal and even sweat! It's tracking my heart rate, steps, everything! Can you tell im happy with my spontaneous purchase!? Morning Snack // @lennyandlarrys OATMEAL RAISIN 🍪 like the two that my dog stole out of my shipment yesterday 🙃 because I can't get through the day without my L&L #teamLL MS part one, because I'm struggling. I'm tired and just really unmotivated to do anything, so I need extra fuel. Clearly. Clearly it is better for me to opposite action Ana in this situation than it is to give in. Clearly it's not only BETTER to NOT work out, but it's a million times better to do EXTRA to get the actual fuel I need. It's not okay to let myself give up on recovery just because I'm tired or stressed. I can't work to undo what I've worked so hard to do. I've been trying so hard to gain that it just doesn't make sense to freak out when I do. And it definitely doesn't make sense to exercise BECAUSE I'm tired. That's flipping backwards. I'm not giving in today. I'm not letting myself slip. I'm doing this right. I consider it progress that not only can I now bench 135 any training day but yesterday I managed to do 4 sets of PAUSED doubles. Ready to open with this weight at the meet this coming March 💪 Huge thanks to the #bestfriends @fteal @ms_christinamarie for forcing me to up the weight when I want to do light weight for reps 😂 and for the rest of the #xxxlfinest group @bajan_barbarian @stevehateseveryone @beffnteal @_adha @kblk518 #bigjoe  for critiquing my form and bringing positive vibes (or extreme hatred and contempt) every workout. Making more progress than I ever thought possible 😁

I DID IT! I'm so proud of myself 😎💪🏼 I am aware that this doesn't mean much for a lot of people but 6months ago I could't even raise myself the tiniest bit! I can squat 70kg without a problem but pull-ups... that's a different kind of hard for me 😅 So yay to be able to do one pull-up all by myself' 😇 ps: please try to ignore all the faces I make. If you don't look like this after your workout, was it even a good workout? 😋 Just goes back to that whole #greasypigletfolyf thing I suppose.  I got a good workout in today at bootcamp. It was a pull/push mini camp with some rows, chest presses, and jumps, just to name a few. I pushed myself, worked on my double unders, and got that heart rate up, but afterwards I knew I could do more. Got to Anytime & got that cardio in. 5 minute StairMaster warm-up followed by a 10 minute incline walk to get those leggers going. Then, the fun began 😁  8, 400m sprints. After every sprint I took a .1 mile recovery walk & increased the speed by .2 mph. May not seem like a lot, but it adds up & by sprints 7 and 8 I was donzzzzzo.  182% of my daily activity goal reached by 9am, and I've got BBG week 11:arms on the agenda for after work tonight. Just a quick morning ab check to start the day✔️✔️ Been eating super clean, increased my calories the last couple weeks and my body is responding great although I am still struggling to get my total intake in.  This morning, I am feeling fatigued and tired though, so I am opting for a shorter leg workout between clients this afternoon so I could sleep in a little bit more. I'm a little behind on the #yogarevolution but it was so good to come home and do this after a stressful day at work. After every practice I sleep so well and I love taking on board everything Adriene says. Her comments about being less reactive really struck me as I feel like I've been taking things people say or do too personally when they are not always meant in that way. I've been really unhappy in my job lately but I feel like there's a way forward for me now. Have you tried the kang squat (also known as the good morning squat)!?? It is not a plyometric to fit my plyo theme this week, but it is a GREAT exercise to incorporate into your weekly workout routine.  This is a great exercise that really targets your glutes, hamstrings, and lower back. . .  You want to focus on pushing your hips back, keeping your knees slightly bent, and back flat. Squeeze your glutes throughout the movement to keep them engaged. . . . You can start body weight, with a barbell on your back, or with a kettlebell to your chest (shown in my video). Start with 2-3 sets of 10-12 reps!  Make it burn!!

My third "SOS" workout (something of substance) in my #hansonsmarathonmethod training plan. The book said this is the run to see if you've set a realistic goal, you can fake your speedwork bc there are recovery breaks, but the tempo is continuous race pace. My 6 miles at Goal Marathon Pace was by no means easy, but manageable. I will keep reassessing each Thursday tempo to see if they get easier!
