"Degenerative Disc Disease" sounds like a fun thing to have.  Anyone else out there dealing with this?  I don't believe it is the reason behind my back issue that has kept me out of the gym all year but it is just another thing I'd rather not have a doctor tell me I have.  Ughhh. I STOPPED BUYING PREWORKOUT!  Yes.  A few months ago.  Now I make my own and it saves money and I have more control.  I'm not even lean right now and I have veins popping out just resting my arm on my knee here. I attribute that in part to my mix... I put some BCAAs in for flavour.  Then I add 6g of Citrulline Malate 2:1.  Then I crush up some caffeine pills (usually 200mg... very rarely 400mg) and lastly... the one you may find odd... BAKING SODA.  If you take 0.03g/kg of bodyweight... along with the other things I listed.... and (of course) be very hydrated throughout your day... LOOK OUT!  You're going to have a very fun workout!  I would suggest an Arms Day or something you will really feel it on!  Have fun!  Let me know how it went 👍👍😂. -30 Celsius where I live... it's even lower if you include the windchill... SILVER LINING:  After my Arms Workout my recovery rate is increased due to all of the insulated layers I have to wear!  My face is getting crapped on by the wind but my arms are healing way better than if it were a warm day.  I'll count this as a win. 5 years apart.  FOREARM GAINS!! I was even lifting for a few years already on the left... but full disclosure... I was working very hard at the time and very stressed so my meals were only 1-2 a day.  Still though what a difference!! 👌  Even if you lose your gains here or there in life DO NOT QUIT. 3 HUGE TIPS TO FIX MYSTERY LOWER BACK PAIN 😩😤 I have had nagging back pain for about a decade but it only really started to hinder me in the last 12 months.  My training hasn’t been able to progress because when your lower back is messed up you can’t properly train your back or your legs…  and since my forearms and my shoulders were too large already all I’ve been able to train all year have been upper arms and calves :S  I’m going to share with you 3 HUGE TIPS that have helped me personally with my mystery injury that no amount of physio/massage/yoga/chiro has been able to locate or fix.  TIP 1:  Go to a professional and get your feet cast for custom orthotics.  If your feet are messed up then everything up the chain is going to be messed up… and when you train with weights for years… eventually it’s going to ruin something.  TIP 2:  Check if you have an anterior pelvic tilt (most of us do) and look into how to fix that.  One of the biggest things I’ve done to help correct this is to STOP stretching my hamstrings.  I bet you have tight hamstrings if you have an anterior pelvic tilt but this is one of those situations where you can’t listen to your body and think stretching them will fix them.  In fact, if you strengthen them a few times a week and stretch your hip flexors every day then your pelvis will balance itself out and you will actually increase your hamstring flexibility as well as help unsquish your lower back.  TIP 3:  Go online and Google “Theracane”. Buy it.  Use it nightly.  It helps release your body in tight trigger points.  How I’ve used it every night is I train my core a little with planks, side planks, and then vacuums then I shower to warm my muscles up and then I use the Theracane.  After that I slowly stretch then to go sleep.  If you add these 3 HUGE TIPS to your routine I can promise you you will see an improvement in any weird little spot that has ruined your lower back.  No more days of worrying about how you’ll get your socks on… tie your shoes… or have your girl jump on you and you not end up in pain for a week. As much as Vegas can be fun... even when here for business... I can't wait to be back in a routine again.
