The first key to getting to into really good shape is to secure the environment around you lay solid foundations for success.  As s coach and a former physique athlete my first focus with clients is to insure simple but solid habits and foundations are set before any plans are written.  The best training regimen, the most meticulous nutrition plan are rendered useless if they can't be afeared to.  The number one cause that rocks even the most strong minded of people is STRESS.  Eliminate stress as much from your life as possible. Secure positive habits. Make as much of your life as systematic as possible. Loving my new split at the minuet.  Really concentrating on my weaker point and brining out lagging areas.... training with a shoulder problem has been a blessing as I have altered just about everything I do when training. Focusing so much more on lifting with solid form and not just moving it from a-b.... Mini bulk at the moment but soon al be going into a cut for summer πŸ˜‚

1 Year later  Same weight Completely different body  and more importantly  Completely different mind.  There is no real quick fix in this game.  To get it right there is a lot of trial and error. It isn't always pretty.  Some times to get the best out your clients. Looking at the long term solution is much more advantageous then giving them a short term fix.  Anyone can diet someone down. Lose them a ton of weight but if this is done in a short time frame the clients will not have  learned anything. They haven't learned about about there body. Haven't experienced sacrifice and persistence to earn an incredible transformation.  It's like giving  a million pounds to someone who's has never worked a full day of there life, who's is bad at managing money and doesn't value hard work and the  money he/she has been given. They haven't had to put the effort and sacrificed that needed to earn that money so they much more likely to loose it, as it's doesn't have a purpose and doesn't mean anything to them.  This is like giving a quick fix to your clients. Yes we all want to see fast results but there has to be a solid Phycological change that happens to ensure they do not fall back to old habits and just gain al the weight that they lost or lose all there muscle they gained.  Remember as a coach.
